Question Response Comments/Notes
1. Public School Funding in Montana is at an inadequate level. O
2. Parents should have greater freedom to choose how and where their children are educated, including options such as education savings accounts, tax credits, vouchers, or other school-choice mechanisms. O* Parents know their children best and I believe they have a right to educational options outside of the public schools. I am a strong supporter of alternative education and homeschooling. I myself was homeschooled and hope to educate my own future children likewise. Because of my close personal connection to education it is critical to me to ensure the educational freedoms we enjoy today won't be infringed upon.Even though alternative education was a huge blessing in my own life that doesn't mean its the right option for everyone. Publicly funded education is undoubtably important and to ensure an environment that truly helps Montana children learn and thrive I would love to see schools have more local control and better reflect the communities and families they serve.

23. Objective moral truths exist and should inform laws and public policy, rather than shifting cultural preferences. SS

25. Homosexuals and transgender people should be allowed to adopt children: SO
26. Personal responsibility and self-governance are more effective at solving social problems than expanded government programs: SS
27. Parents—not government institutions—are the primary authority responsible for the education and moral formation of their children: SS* I was raised to love Jesus, family, and truth, to this day, that's what guides every decision I make.As for the foundation and framework of our government, I believe that a limited government is the best. As Ronald Reagan said "Government must not supersede the will of the people or the responsibilities of the people. The function of government is not to confer happiness, but to give men the opportunity to work out happiness for themselves."
