1. Public School Funding in Montana is at an inadequate level. SO

Parents should have greater freedom to choose how and where their children are educated, including options such as education savings accounts, tax credits, vouchers, or other school-choice mechanisms. SS* I firmly believe in parent rights regarding the education of their children. I also believe that parents should have choice in the educational setting of their children. Our Montana Constitution prohibits taxpayer dollars funneled to educational settings without accountability for the use of those dollars. However, the Constitution does permit schools to create more choices for parents and students. I also strongly believe that parents need to be actively engaged in whatever educational setting they select. If parents are concerned with their children's education in the public school setting, the Board of Trustees and Superintendent need to be informed immediately.
3. Parents should be allowed to homeschool their children without additional state regulation SS
4. Curricula based on Critical Race Theory (CRT) should be prohibited in Montana public schools SS
5. Comprehensive sex education should be taught in public elementary schools, beginning as early as kindergarten. SO

8. Montana’s corporate taxes are too high S* The entire tax system needs to be examined in order to create a fair system. That will mean that legislators will need to work with each other collaboratively and with the Governor to make sure that the State of Montana is not overtaxing its citizens and yet providing necessary services to all Montanans.
9. The Second Amendment protects the right of law-abiding citizens to own firearms for self-defense. SS
10. Montanans should not be discriminated against or treated differently based on their vaccination status. SS* I strongly support the right to bear arms for self defense and that Montanans should not be subject to discrimination based on vaccination status.
11. Climate change is a serious problem that requires increased government regulation. SO
12. Environmental regulations in Montana are currently too restrictive. S* Again, with public input, there must be common sense regulation regarding our environment in order to protect our water, our air and our land.
13. Abortion should be illegal at all stages of pregnancy. S
14. Abortion should be legal only in the early stages of pregnancy and restricted after a specific point, except when necessary to save the life of the mother. S* I am opposed to elective abortion as a means of preventing pregnancy. When the life of a mother is at risk, abortion may be necessary as prescribed by a physician.

16. Individuals and organizations should be allowed to opt out of abortion-related mandates, if those mandates violate their religious or moral convictions. SS* Individuals should be allowed to opt out of any abortion mandate if it violates their religious or moral convictions.
17. Physician-assisted suicide should be legal in Montana. SO* As a Christian, I cannot support assisted suicide.
18. Biological males who identify as transgender should be allowed to compete in women’s and girl's athletic competitions. SO
19. Medical procedures intended to change a minor’s sex or gender should be prohibited. SS* I do not support transgender mutilation of children. This practice must be outlawed.
20. Same-sex couples should be permitted to adopt children. SO* I also do not support legalization of same-sex marriage or the adoption of children into a dis-functional parenting structure. The optimal and healthy family structure outlined in the Bible of a mother and father is best for children.
21. State and local nondiscrimination laws should be expanded to include sexual orientation and gender identity in the same manner as race, religion, and national origin. SO
22. Montana’s marriage laws should be revised to reflect the U.S. Supreme Court’s legalization of same-sex marriage. SO
23. Objective moral truths exist and should inform laws and public policy, rather than shifting cultural preferences. SS
